Eve Curie's life of her mother: the Polish childhood in Warsaw under Russian rule, the student years in Paris and the meeting with Pierre Curie, the long work that isolated radium, the two Nobel prizes, the mobile X-ray units she took to the front in the First World War, and the years of exposure to radiation that killed her. The book was first published in 1937 and was serialised in America under the title Marie Curie, my mother.
