An Ambleside year is a year of the Ambleside Online programme, not a reader's age. Year 0 is its first year, and a book used over several years shows the span. The ages beside it are that band offered two grades up and none down, which is how we offer a band; they are a placement, not a reading measure.
A firsthand account of the first year of Plymouth Colony, from the Mayflower settlers’ arrival at Cape Cod in 1620 through the autumn of 1621. Written primarily by Edward Winslow with an early section attributed to William Bradford, it records exploration, settlement, encounters and diplomacy with Native peoples, the colonists’ first harvest, and the gathering later associated with the first Thanksgiving.
