That Which is Seen and That Which is not Seen by Frédéric Bastiat is a clever critique to goverment spending. He explains in a playfull and sarcastic way with a language of the XIX century the consequences to common political decisions made by the ones who are in charge of the estate. Bastiat uses simple and practical examples to explain THAT WHICH IS NOT SEEN in the populist decisions made by governors. Is very interesting how this economist and philosopher from the XIX century develops liberal ideas even for this century, since today we are full of communist and populist leaders that threaten to take control over the world. Every example the author writes in the book implies his ideas of the free market and makes the communist ideas sound like nonsense. It is an easy book to read, his writing is very clear and clever.
